Requirements for Letter of Good standing

• A formal request, indicating the reasons for requesting such a letter.
• A certified copy of ID (both sides if it’s a smart ID card).
• A certified copy of a valid South African Police Clearance Certificate (the PCC must be valid for a period of six months or less at the time of submission to SACE).
• A current testimonial letter from a school in SA.  The letter must not be older than three months at the time of submission to SACE.  The letter must be on the school’s letterhead, dated, signed and stamped.  (The letter of Good Standing will not be issued if the teacher did not teach in SA for a year or more).
• R400 request fee.
• SACE annual fee must be up to date.  The letter will not be issued if there are any outstanding fees.
• A letter will be issued within 30 days of request.
